Teen Bible quizzing is a unique and exciting ministry that combines Bible study, competition, fellowship, and disciple-making into one program.

The ability of Bible quizzing to take each of the above elements and mold them into a program that is attractive to teenagers is what makes it such a successful and worthwhile ministry.

Competitions are held several times during the year with the finals taking place in March.  The top quizzers from that event advance to the regional competition at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. From there, the top quizzers compete at Nazarene Youth Conference and General Assembly.

Quizzing is based on a six year cycle.

The quiz material for this year was taken from the book of Acts.

Next year, quizzers will be studying five books of the Bible. They are Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians, Philippians, and Philemon.

In contrast to the content of Acts (over 1100 verses), these five books contain just over 500 verses combined. 

Even though the verse count is less for next year, it's not too early to begin to study and prepare!

I have been District Director now for over 15, years and I feel God has opened the door for me to step down and leave the program to someone who I know will only serve to make quizzing on our district even greater.

It has been a joy and privilege to serve the youth of our district, and I will miss them greatly, but have comfort in knowing that they are in good hands.

The new District Director is Rob Council, who is the youth minister at the Oak Hill church.  He comes to us from the Northeast Indiana District, and I see great things happening as a result of the direction that he and his wife, Kristen, will give the District.
